In recent years the market for MMO games that are free to play exploded. The developers of these games serve instead of money by selling different things to players, such as advanced equipment and other benefits.
Now try Sony Online Entertainment in such a business model with its EverQuest II Extended. Soon you can download and play this MMORPG for free, but there are certain limitations.
Free players can not, for example access to all grade levels and races in the game without paying for them. It is also partly a limit to how powerful magic they can use.
Players can also use the money to buy health drinks, powerful weapons and armor, certain Animals to be ridden, and much more.
There will still be possible to subscribe to the game to play on the old way. If you already have a subscription, and prefer to play for free, you can transfer your characters. You will be with you all of their assets, but not money.
