The theory behind guild wars is to take all the best aspects of today’s MMORPGs and put them all in to one game. It is largely mission and quest based making it a lot more exiting than some of the tedious leveling up that is done on other games. Another main element of the game is the party feature. You can meet new people, form a party then go and do a quest together. Your party is alone on the quest map meaning that there is no longer any camping or kill-stealing.
